Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

All of my software, this web site included, shares this Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use. By visiting this site or using my software, you agree to these terms. If you don't like them, leave now.

I take privacy very seriously, since I don't like mine being invaded any more than it already is every day. I am not a lawyer, but I wrote this in plain speech anyway so that it's easier to understand.

  1. I will not sell or give any information that I obtain about you to any non-government entity for any reason. This site does collect a log of every access made to it, but that is only for security reasons; if abuse occurs, I can and will provide those logs to the proper authorities. Otherwise, your actions will remain unobserved, since I rarely look at those logs myself other than to vaguely guess how much activity the site has had.
  2. My software will never intentionally collect information about you. SpaceMonger, in particular, does not examine your files' contents, and never will contact me or my site in any way. Even if it gets network support --- the current versions have none --- it will never use that ability to transmit any information about you to anyone. If you discover that my software is collecting information about you in some way, please let me know, because it sure isn't supposed to.
  3. I will not share your registration information with anyone for any reason. If you register my shareware, rest assured that I (or perhaps an employee) will be the only living human to ever see the information you give me. The registration codes will never directly contain any personal information, either.
  4. Any information you send to me via e-mail or submit to this web site becomes my property. Sorry, but I can't afford to have somebody sue because I included their favorite feature in a new version of my software and didn't properly credit them. I don't like having such a restrictive clause in here, but in this litigious society I don't really have a choice.
  5. I cannot and will not be held responsible for any damage that occurs to your computer either by using this web site or my software. This site and my software have no warranty of any kind. You choose to use them; if something breaks, it's your problem, not mine. Sorry. If you have problems, I'll willingly try to help you out via e-mail, but since neither the site nor the software come with a warranty, I can't guarantee anything. I try hard to write good code, and I don't expect it to crash or fail or destroy anything --- ever --- but if it does, you were warned, so don't bother to sue.
  6. The contents of this web site are copyrighted. I worked hard to produce this stuff, so you're not allowed to copy it without my written permission. If you want to make a short quote of something you find here, such as one or two lines of text, you may, but for anything longer, or for pictures or images, you should ask first. You can print a few copies of each page for personal use, but again, for anything more, you should ask.
